Early in 2025 our Board of Directors decided the time was right to grow the staff’s executive leadership team, alongside Amy Jackson—our Chief of Staff—and me. By the end of the year, we had a great team in place. The members of our “e-team” are new to their specific roles, though each has deep professional experience and connections with MHM, some stretching over decades.

I want to introduce you to this e-team over the next few months, beginning with Kira Leefers, our Director of Development. You may already know Kira if you’ve been around MHM for a while, because she previously served as our Volunteer and Event Coordinator. In that role, Kira recruited and supported hundreds of volunteers. She also led our annual Christmas Store for two years.

Before coming to MHM, Kira had a professional background in corporate marketing and in church leadership.
