At Mile High Ministries, our residents are taking big steps for their families—as they move from housing instability into futures of hope. Can I invite you to be generous on their behalf during this holiday season, with a gift for our work of building redemptive housing communities?

From now until December 9, your online gift through Colorado Gives will be boosted by a $1M local incentive fund for organizations like ours. Even better this year, your new recurring gift sign-up will be matched up to $100 for the first month’s donation.

We began 2025 with big plans, and then… life happened! We discovered an urgent need to replace the walkways and stairs at Joshua Station, as well as our security fence—a matter of safety. A $1.75 million surprise expense! The project is nearly completed, but we still need to raise about $775,000 to finish paying the bills.

Even with that unexpected capital expense, we were able to add several strategic staff positions to our team, including the peer recovery specialist we told you about last year and some key additions to our executive leadership team.

We are poised for a big year in 2026, including the possibility of more housing units on the Clara Brown Commons property in northeast Denver.

The point is not just housing—but safe, truly affordable housing with opportunities for mental health, education, youth programs, and spiritual support. We call it housing that heals, and recognize it by following the ABC’s:

ADVOCACY addresses felt needs in ways that help residents gain new capacity to shape their lives and communities.

Rooted in the belief that each of us is created in God’s image, we search for the inherent BEAUTY within the lives of our residents. We also build beautiful living spaces for them to thrive.

Supportive relationships and a culture of caring are the source of all real healing in our lives. We cultivate such COMMUNITY through shared meals, town hall, social events, and activities for kids and seniors.

Your generosity is what makes all of this possible. Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this opportunity to come alongside our residents. Your gift will provide what’s needed at this very important time!

Peace in Christ,
