Dear friends of Joshua Station,
Your wonderful generosity during our spring campaign has resulted in $103,192—
just over halfway toward our $150,000 goal with a week to go, in support of our Joshua Station resident families.
Two things I’d welcome you to do for our resident moms, dads, and children if you haven’t taken the chance already:
-
Your donation in any amount will help push us to the top in this final week.
-
Enjoy an evening celebration with staff and residents next Thursday April 9 (register today—or by Sunday at the very latest).
This spring we are welcoming our largest new group of residents ever. What an exciting time for them and us! The joy on their faces, upon walking into their residence for the first time, is indescribable. “Oh. My. Gosh. I can’t believe how it looks!” exclaimed a mom this week. “Can you please say thank you to every single person who made this possible?” Her teen daughter proudly shows off her bedroom nook, with a door to close for her own private refuge. A younger daughter scampers up the ladder to her new loft bed. The baby has an elegant wooden crib, and high-end, homey décor graces the entire home.
So here’s my chance to say thank you to every volunteer and donor who provides not just a roof, but housing that heals for every parent and child here. What an encouragement to each resident taking courageous life steps!
Our largest initiative this year for Joshua Station families is our mental health program expansion. With your support, we’ll be remodeling space in our Wyandot building into a center where more residents and past residents—children and adults—can access timely, trauma-informed care.
As funding allows, we also will upgrade our dedicated youth space, creating a vibrant environment where young people can learn, connect, and simply enjoy being kids.
In this video, I share why this year’s Spring Into Caring is especially important and meaningful:
Gratefully,
