Gratitude Update – Christmas Store and CO Gives

Celebrating your beautiful generosity this week…

The Christmas Store has been simply wonderful this year. Today we’re winding up our week of parents shopping for toys you supplied so generously.

It’s especially fun to watch our newer resident families enter the room for the first time. “WOW” and a jaw drop are pretty universal. Tables and tables are piled with brand-new gifts, arranged neatly by age level.

Each parent (or couple) has a leisurely 30 minutes to browse gifts – with the whole room to themselves aside from a staff shopper’s helper. They purchase their children’s presents at about 25% of retail ($5 for gifts averaging $20 in value), with the dignity of knowing they themselves were the family providers. They also know your generosity came alongside.

Colorado Gives Day was once again a great success! 125 of you gave, and we’re very grateful for your loving support.

These donations will go very, very far in providing safe, supportive housing for our families who are healing from their experience of homelessness, and other people in vulnerable situations who are served by our programs. On their behalf, we can’t thank you enough.

If you missed those chances to donate, we welcome you onto the holiday giving train. For each of us, it’s truly a joy to be able to give what we can.
