Dear friend,

At Mile High Ministries, we celebrate the inspiring courage and resourcefulness of our residents as they move from housing instability into futures of hope. In this season of giving, can I invite you to be generous on their behalf—with a supportive gift for our work of building redemptive housing communities?

This has been a banner year of new beginnings for Mile High Ministries. With your help, we opened Clara Brown Commons and even won the prestigious Eagle Award for creating beautiful, supportive housing. Abundant Ground also is up and running strong. Jessica Dominguez and her team are helping congregations discern how to use church-owned land to build housing and create community life for their neighbors.

The point is not just housing, but affordable housing with opportunities for mental health, education, career, youth programs, and spiritual support. We call it “Housing That Heals,” and recognize it by the following ABC’s:

ADVOCACY addresses felt needs in ways that help residents recognize their own strength and gain new capacity to shape their lives and communities.

Rooted in the belief that each of us is created in God’s image, we search for the inherent BEAUTY within the lives of our residents.

Safe relationships and a culture of caring are the source of all real healing in our lives. We cultivate such COMMUNITY through shared meals, town hall, social events, and activities for kids and seniors.

All this depends on leadership from trained and dedicated on-site staff members. Would you help us deepen the experience of housing that heals at Joshua Station by giving toward the addition of a Spanish-speaking mental health worker and a peer recovery specialist? At Clara Brown Commons, we hope to raise the funds for a full-time community advocate and a part-time youth director.

Your generosity is what makes all of this possible. We especially depend on your giving this time of year as we make plans for 2025. Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this opportunity to provide housing that heals!

Peace in Christ,

Jeff Johnsen

Executive Director
